MATH FAIR in Costa Mesa This Saturday!

I’m not very good at math myself so I’m pretty stoked that both my kids are pretty good at math and actually enjoy it. I am so excited to announce that the MIND RESEARCH Institute – the people behind Jiji the Penguin and ST MATH are having the Third Annual Math Fair on Saturday, November 5, from 10 am to 6 pm at the OC Fair and Event Center. The event is free and open to the public and will feature mathematically challenging activities, games and performances. My younger son and I attended the first year, when it was held at University of California- Irvine and had tons of fun. We especially liked seeing the 3D Printer in Action.

But don’t take our word for it, watch the 2015 Math Fair Video:

The following are featured exhibits and workshops at the Math Fair:
South of the Sahara
Math Mystery Theater
Lil’ Mathematician Zone
K-12 National Game-a-thon Challenge Participants
Eugenia Cheng, mathematician and author of How to Bake Pi, “Cooking with Math” demonstrations and Family Math Workshops

Register for the Math Fair – it’s free! It will be fun for the whole family.
