In addition to all the wonderful things we’re doing at the theatre for ‘Frankenweenie,’ such as our ‘Spark-tacular’ lighting and effects curtain show and a display of drawings and props from the making of the movie, we will also have interactive displays from the Discovery Science Center, who have created a Science Fair entitled ‘Sparking an Interest in Science’ in conjunction with ‘Frankenweenie’ and our special engagement here at the El Capitan.”

This summer, Discovery Science Center collaborated with the famous El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood to host a ‘Frankenweenie’ Science Fair in conjunction with the October 5th release of Disney’s “Frankenweenie.” Students in grade 5 – 12 were invited to submit a science project that displayed experimentally based research, illustrated scientific methodology or demonstrated a science or engineering concept based on themes from the movie “Frankenweenie.”
