It’s going to be a SUPER Summer at Pretend City! Pretend City has always been a great place to take my kids, especially watching them learn from room to room with hands on experiences. This summer, Pretend City is even more super charge with awesome! We love superheroes in our house, so you can imagine how excited the boys were to see the newly donated Super Powers Exhibit created by Omaha Children’s Museum. The fun Exhibit was created with idea that every child is a superhero!
We started out at the Super Power Headquarters! The boys tried on many different super hero outfits that got them ready to save the day!
The Sky Slider was one of Maverick’s favorites! Learning how to fly on the zip line. He had to try it multiple times! Both boys had a blast at the Comic Creation Station! They worked together to create a giant comic strip. The magnetic wall made it so easy to use. I may need to figure out a way to put one in my house.
Sawyer’s favorite was the Wind Tunnel! You could grab a cape and watch yourself fly on a big screen tv. Using a giant green screen to transport you right into your own action scene. Don’t forget your phone because you don’t want to miss the perfect Super Selfie moment! Watching Sawyer’s hair blow in the wind was hysterical!
I loved seeing their imaginations come to life as the played with weather at the Storm Shooter they made it rain, lightning, and snow! They got their wiggles out on the Ropes Maze! Climbing over and under watching out for the laser beams.
Maverick worked really hard on the Fuel Cell Bikes! But I think he needs to be a little bit bigger to really see it go. But, he loved pretending.
The Super S.T.E.M. Lab was great for my little scientist to touch, look and learn!
For the mini hero (Toddlers) there is a wonderful super soft city just for them to roll, climb, crawl through.
All in all, our visit to Pretend City was a fabulous summer Adventure! They had a blast! What kid doesn’t want to be a superhero? The Super Hero fun continues through the summer with special events geared to spotlight real-live heroes. So dash over to the museum and check it out before summer is over! Get more details here.
