There’s a new shopping destination in Orange County! And it is beautiful. After nearly two decades, the Outlets at San Clemente opened on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Suburban Mama contributor Alisa Newman was on hand to witness the opening day. “It’s stunning,” said Alisa, of the 52 acre outlet mall bordered by the 5 freeway and the Pacific Ocean.
The holiday décor had a European feel and the Christmas tree is a fresh-cut one from Mt. Shasta. It is decorated with 3000 twinkling lights! And this Saturday, there will be a public tree lighting ceremony at 5pm, and kids can even visit with Santa!
As a special treat, there will be a free concert for shoppers featuring American Authors, Nick Fradlani who was on American Idol and John Lindahl, who was on The X-Factor.
Also, save the date: November 26 (Thanksgiving!) at 8pm to November 27 until 10pm for The Outlets at San Clemente’s inaugural Moonlight Madness shopping extravaganza. There are 70 retailers at the Outlets including Calvin Klein, GUESS, Vans, Tilly’s, Cole Haan, Converse et al. Enjoy fast casual eateries including Panera Bread, Ruby’s Diner and Starbucks. Look forward to additional stores and restaurants opening throughout 2016.
