It’s National Shake Month, who knew? But hey, any excuse to have a delicious peanut butter milk shake from a restaurant like Johnny Rockets, is good by me. Who doesn’t love this sweet cold beverage that blends milk and ice cream? To celebrate #ShakeMonth, mi familia and I headed over to Johnny Rockets at Knott’s Berry Farm for a preview of all the goodness that Shake Month had to offer.
We enjoyed bite-sized samples of the classic American fare that Johnny Rockets is known for like burgers, fries and onion rings. We even got to go behind the scenes to see how a Johnny Rockets shake is made.
The thing about Johnny Rockets’ shakes and malts is that they are hand-dipped and hand-spun, made with the finest USDA certified premium vanilla ice cream, whole milk, and real whipped cream. Here is a photo of the Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake that we sampled. It is made with real Reese’s Peanut Butter and topped with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and Reese’s Pieces mini candies. The real treat is that this shake is available at all Johnny Rockets restaurants (except special venues like airports, stadiums etc.)
To celebrate the upcoming movie, “Goosebumps,” based on the beloved children’s series by R.L. Stine, Johnny Rockets created the Goosebumps Shake. The Goosebumps shake will be launching on September 21st at all Johnny Rockets restaurants (except special venues). It is made with premium vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, milk and mixed with Oreo pieces and topped with whipped cream, an Oreo garnish, and colorful gummy worms. We secretly hope THIS shake makes it beyond the movie and stays on the Johnny Rockets menu even after Shake Month.
Finally, just to give you an idea of the good time we had at Johnny Rockets, here is the happy Johnny Rockets crew doing their thing… “At the Car wash.”
September is National Shake Month but you can always get good ol’ American food and rich and creamy shakes from Johnny Rockets year-round.
